" A great read! I couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud at many points, and cried at others. Entertaining and fast passed without being over the top. " A verified Amazon Customer.

The second Jake Carney story came about after the success of The Broken Lawyer, and at the suggestion of friends and readers. I admit I enjoyed taking on the persona of Jake Carney and tried to accurately portray his growth in sobriety. The challenge was not to repeat too often his history and to balance the role of AA in the story. As for the plot, I hoped to direct some attention to difficulties many of our veterans face when returning from war.
