As far as the District Attorney and the investigating detective were concerned, it was an open and shut case. The defendant had plunged a knife into the heart of a woman on life support, then sat quietly waiting for the police to arrive. But when the defendant’s lawyer presented an unusual and controversial defense, the simple murder case was no longer simple.

Awesome Legal Novel
This is the third book I have read written by this author and each one is a page Turner. I hope he is in the process of writing another book. If you are looking for a great legal novel I would encourage to read one of his books. I gave it 5 stars which were deserved!!!!
A Goodreads ReIvew.

This book is available in Kindle format and paper back on Amazon.
This is not a Broken Lawyer story, and unlike the Broken Lawyer, stories, it is not told in the first person voice. It presents a question, where is the line between life and death and how bright is that line?
Questions I was recently asked about the book.
- WHERE DID THE IDEA FOR THIS BOOK COME FROM? Having watched my mother fall victim to the ravishes of Alzheimer’s disease I questioned how we define life. Do we define it simply as the absence of death? And conversely, if we define death do we simultaneously define life? I wanted to examine the practical implications of those questions and the best way for me to do that was in a legal setting.
- WHAT DID YOU LEARN WHILE WRITING THIS BOOK? For one thing, there is a fine line between life and death which is not always apparent. How we, as a society, define, that line has vast social, moral and legal implications. While doctors, lawyers, theologians, and philosophers may never agree on a definition of death, there may come a time in our lives when we have to decide the issue for ourselves.
- WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF WRITING THIS BOOK? Deciding on how to end the story.
